DIVERSITYINC NAMES CON EDISON OF NEW YORK TOP UTILITY
For the third year in a row, Con Edison of New York topped the list of DiversityInc magazine's ranking of utility companies for promoting and encouraging diversity. We were found to be particularly strong in human capital, supplier diversity, and executive commitment to promoting diversity.

CON EDISON NAMED AS A TOP DIVERSITY EMPLOYER BY THE BLACK EOE JOURNAL
For the second year in a row, Con Edison was named as a Top Diversity Employer for African Americans in The Black EOE Journal's 2010 Best of the Best list. We also ranked among the magazine's Top 100 Supplier Diversity Programs and Top 50 Energy, Oil, and Utility Companies. The African-American business and career magazine evaluates the diversity policies of the nation's leading employers, supplier programs, government agencies, and educators. The rating criteria are based on minority recruitment, training and awareness, advancement opportunities, benefits, salaries, mentoring, CEO commitment, and other factors.

LATINA STYLE HAILS CON EDISON OF NEW YORK AS ONE OF 50 BEST COMPANIES
Con Edison of New York was named one of the 50 Best U.S. Companies for Latinas to Work by Latina Style. The magazine, which promotes leadership and career guidance for Hispanic women, has recognized Con Edison of New York for three years in a row.

CON EDISON OF NEW YORK LAUDED FOR VETERAN SUPPORT
For the second year running, CivilianJobs.com named Con Edison of New York as one of its Most Valuable Employers for Military. The list includes those companies whose recruiting, training, and retention plans best serve military service members and veterans. Con Edison employs nearly 894 veterans and reservists.

HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN PRAISES CON EDISON
The Human Rights Campaign gave Con Edison a perfect score on its Corporate Equality Index, which rates company practices and policies related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees. The largest national LGBT civil rights organization also ranked us on its Best Places to Work list.
