Now that you and your installer have a plan for your new solar-energy system, it is important to submit the appropriate documentation to Con Edison so your new system can be safely connected to our power grid.

The application for interconnection can be completed online through our Energy Services Project Center. The Project Center’s user guide provides instructions to help you get started, and your solar-system installer can help you through this process. Some components of the application will be submitted by you while others are required to be submitted by the installer. The Project Center also provides access to the following required documents:

A letter authorizating your installer to apply to ConEdison for interconnection on your behalf
The standard application form completed and signed by your installer
A standardized contract signed by the customer
A three-line diagram for the system detailing the electrical interconnection

A copy of the manufacturer’s data sheet for the equipment
A copy of the manufacturer’s verification test procedure
