Interconnection Application process

Determine the required form(s)
For DG electrical application select the appropriate forms from 1 or 2 below. If your DG requires gas or steam from Con Edison, select the appropriate forms from 3 or 4 below.

1	If your site requires new or upgraded electric service	Application For Electric Service

2	In addition, choose one of the following options:
	If your configuration qualifies for Net Metering and You are a residential applicant, with generation based on photovoltaic cells or wind power 25kW or less, or generation based on eligible microCHP or fuel cells 10kW or less, or, You are a non-residential applicant with generation based on solar or wind power with a nameplate rating up to the lesser of your peak load or 200kW. Some installations above 25kW may be required to follow the application process below - you will be notified if this is required following submittal of your initial application.	Application For Parallel Generation Equipment 25 Kw Or Smaller Application for Net Metering or Standby Service and/or Buy-Back Service
	OR

	If your configuration qualifies for Net Metering and You are a non-residential applicant with generation based on solar or wind power with a nameplate rating above 25kW and up to 2MW, or, You are a farm applicant with generation based on wind power with a nameplate rating greater than 25 KW but less than or equal to 500 KW	Application For Parallel Generation Equipment up to 2 MW Application for Net Metering or Standby Service and/or Buy-Back Service
	OR

	If your generation peak power is less than or equal to 25KW, but does not qualify for Net Metering	1. Application For Parallel Generation Equipment 25 Kw Or Smaller 2. Application for Net Metering or Standby Service and/or Buy-Back Service
	OR

	If your generation peak power is greater than 25KW but less than 2 MW, and your configuration is one of the following: Standby , Standby with Stand-Alone or Buy Back	1. Application For Parallel Generation Equipment up to 2 MW 2. Application for Net Metering or Standby Service and/or Buy-Back Service
	OR

	If your generation peak power is greater than 2 MW, and your configuration is one of the following: Standby , Standby with Stand-Alone or Buy Back	1. Choose the form for the type of generation: Synchronous, Induction, Inverter 2. Application for Net Metering or Standby Service and/or Buy-Back Service
	OR

	If your generation will be used for Emergency Generation only.	Application For Emergency Generation

3	If you are a commercial customer and intend to power your DG with natural gas from Con Edison (Rider H Facility Information)	Application for DG Natural Gas Supply

4	If you are a commercial customer and intend to power your DG with steam from Con Edison	You may go to How to apply for new or modified Con Edison steam service for a comprehensive description of the process. You will have to fill out the following application forms 1. Application for Steam Service 2. Steam Service Load Letter 3. Point of Entry(POE) Determination for New Services
