Power Your Way
Explore your Energy Choices
Take charge of your energy bills. We give you the opportunity to shop around for an alternative energy supplier and choose the one that's right for you. Con Edison will remain the delivery source, but you can choose a supplier from a number of Energy Service Companies (ESCOs).
Our Partnership with Alternative Energy Suppliers
We are continuously evolving in response to the changes in the industry. We want to make it easy for you to choose an energy supplier who best fits your needs.
Con Edison will remain your Energy Delivery Company
No matter whom you choose as your energy supplier, Con Edison will remain the delivery company. You will continue to receive the utmost in service from Con Edison, and we will always be on hand in the case of an energy emergency.
Choosing an ESCO is Easy
Contact the suppliers, compare offers and pick the one that's best for you. ESCOs offer a variety of incentives, pricing models, payment options and other services designed to fit your needs. Should you elect to obtain your energy from an alternative supplier, you will need to provide your Con Edison account number in order to enroll in the program.
Find out more about the ESCOs serving residential and business customers in your area.

Be Empowered. Be Aware.
Some ESCOs have misled customers by falsely representing themselves as Con Edison employees, or falsely implying that a supplier switch must be made within 30 days. Please be aware: Con Edison will never send a salesperson to your door, call your home or business, or threaten you with deadlines when it comes to energy supply. Switching (or not switching) to an alternative energy supplier is entirely your choice.
ESCO Residential Complaint Scorecard
When evaluating ESCOs, you should refer to the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) scorecard, which indicates how ESCOs in the NY State energy market rate on a scaled basis based on complaint rates. For more information on performance rates and ESCOs in general, visit the Public Service Commission website.Further Questions? Check out the Power Your Way FAQs.
