pay by credit card
A payment agent accepts the credit card payments on our behalf and charges a service fee. Beginning January 2009, the flat-fee charge for paying your bill via a credit card has changed and, depending on your account type, there are differing service fees. The fee for residential and most of our nonresidential accounts has been lowered to $4.75 from $4.95. If you are a nonresidential account with an EL9 code as shown on your bill, however, the service fee for using a credit card to pay your bill is now 2.6 percent of the payment amount. Con Edison does not receive any portion of the service fee.
