Q: What credit cards are accepted?
A: Our payment agent accepts MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover.

A: You can pay online, or call us toll-free, 24 hours a day at 1-888-925-5016 and we will process your payment.

Q: Can I pay by credit card anytime?
A: This convenient payment option is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Q: What do I need to pay by credit card?
A: Have your Con Edison bill, your 15-digit account number, and credit card information handy.

Q: Is there a fee for using this payment option?
A:

Yes, there is a service fee for making a payment with a credit card. The flat-fee service charge for paying your bill via a credit card depends on your account type. The service fee for residential and small non-residential accounts is $4.75. For all other large non-residential accounts the service fee for using a credit card to pay your bill is 2.6 percent of the payment amount. Con Edison does not receive any portion of the service fee.


Q: Why will I be charged a fee to use my credit card?
A: The credit card providers charge the payment agent a fee. Most merchants embed this fee in the price of their product or service. Con Edisonís regulatory-approved rates, however, do not allow for us to include the fee in your energy bill. The payment agent accepting the credit card payment on our behalf, therefore, charges the fee. Con Edison does not receive any portion of this fee.

Q: When will payment be posted to my account?
